We understand the need to generate a social culture in and around co living environments. Residents who feel connected and invested in community stay in developments, maintaining high occupancies and stabilizing the building asset.
The viability of co living depends on establishing a successful ratio of private unit sizes to shared amenity spaces.
The location of a development is critical to this, as we understand whether amenities need to be established within the building or could be provided through facilitated links with external groups.
There are opportunities for integrated technologies within the building, apps which connect users to one another and to their global network of communities. Jo Cowen Architects have been analyzing existing and proposed Co living schemes.
We want to understand how schemes are operating and how effective they are. This will help inform the next generation of co living spaces.
“Combining private en-suites with beautiful shared spaces and a programme of inspiring events, all included in one monthly bill, we help our members get the most out of city living.”
