Jo Cowen Architects are exceptionally proud to have completed a full renovation to this beautiful home in the heart of Chelsea.
The works included lowering the existing basement level to create a new open plan kitchen-living area, whilst the ground floor is reserved for hosting and entertaining with touches of bold colour, enhancing the typically subtle pallet of the property.
A new feature staircase with large rooflight above connects all four levels of the property and draws light into the house. External works included a full landscape package to the gardens and roof terraces enhancing the awe-inspiring views over Chelsea and of St Luke’s and Christ Church.
Bespoke design elements include the beautifully detailed staircase, made with fabricated steelwork and painted to a metallic bronze finish. The entrance hallway features heavily veined marble with bronze edge detailing for a luxurious entry procession. The glazed internal doors complement the modern feel of the project adding a more industrial element while the large format sliding doors to the rear create a vista into the garden which adds to the impressive and contemporary feel of the house.
