Bella is a versatile architect with a significant expertise in the residential sector. In her recent career she has worked on several regeneration projects across the UK, where placemaking and community engagement were core design principles.

Originally from Brazil, Bella began her career in South America working on a range of projects from concept through to construction, mainly focusing on infrastructure. She moved to the UK in 2012 where she completed her Masters degree in Architecture and Urbanism at the Design Research Lab of the Architectural Association of London. Bella worked at Foster and Partners on aviation projects before moving to Broadway Malyan as an associate working on major residential developments, where she led multiple teams across various RIBA stages.

Bella joined Jo Cowen Architects to collaborate on schemes centred on inclusive architecture, social value and strategic placemaking also focusing on effective design solutions, information efficiency and team leadership.
