Architect
Beth is a fully qualified Architect, having completed the Professional Practice in Architecture Postgraduate Diploma at the University of Westminster in 2021, an M.Arch Architecture at the Bartlett, UCL in 2018, and a BA (Hons) Architecture at the University of Brighton in 2014, where she received a First Class Degree with Honours.
Beth has gained experience in practices located in the East Midlands and London, working on projects across the RIBA workstages in residential, public, and commercial sectors. Prior to joining Jo Cowen Architects, Beth worked at Office S&M during which time they received the Young Architect of the Year Award and were recognised as a member of 2020’s AJ 40 under 40 cohort.
Beth works within the Master Planning Team at Jo Cowen Architects helping to deliver urban and rural projects, such as Thickthorn Farm, which culminate and draw on her interests in landscape, community, and identity. These are themes which were explored in her academic portfolio and written work.
In addition to her professional duties, Beth teaches and lectures the First Year Design Studio at De Montfort University in Leicester, having previously taught on the Bartlett Summer School programme. In her spare time Beth enjoys dress- and pattern-making, and visiting exhibitions.
