Caitlin Colquhoun

Urban Planner

Caitlin joined Jo Cowen Architects in 2019 after completing her undergraduate degree in Urban Studies at The Bartlett School of Planning, UCL, where she explored the intersection between urban design, architectural history, placemaking and the socio-economic fabric of cities. Whilst at university, her work ranged from masterplanning for the former Earls Court Exhibition Centre to participatory-action research projects and land and planning law.

As well as being the recipient of the Bartlett Faculty award for her high academic achievement and commitment to inclusivity, diversity and equality she was also the recipient of the Bartlett School of Planning award for the highest academic achievement in her final year of undergraduate studies at the school.

Since completing her degree, Caitlin has worked with a range of stakeholders in the urban realm, ranging from local authorities to property companies and local activists.

She has a keen interest in community-oriented design that spans small scale urban interventions to larger scale projects.
