Prior to joining Jo Cowen Architects, Gareth worked at Geraghty Taylor, where he gained valuable experience working on large scale residential and Build to Rent schemes. These included an innovative 240 unit development in Croydon, combining permitted development units and London Plan compliant residential units. Since joining Jo Cowen Architects in 2017, Gareth has been leading projects at feasibility and planning stage, ranging from Ingate Place a commercial building in the Battersea and a build to rent development in Woking, to a large regeneration project in West London.
Gareth is accomplished in leading projects from the feasibility stage through to planning, tender and construction, and has played a key role in the development and delivery of the practice’s design and BIM standards. He thrives on working collaboratively to achieve a shared goal, liaising with stakeholders, local authorities and other consultants.
Originally from South Africa, Gareth studied architecture at the University of KwaZulu Natal, moving to London in 2014 where he completed his Part III at the Bartlett School of Architecture.
