Architect
Jake joined JCA as a Part 1 after graduating from London South Bank University with a first-class honours degree. Jake has since returned to the practice following the completion of his master’s degree from the University of Westminster. His final year brief was ‘Joy’ in architecture and how as architects we can use joy as a design tool, but also how design can be used to bring joy to people.
Jake’s passion for design away from the architectural world focuses on the restoration and modification of classic cars. Having completed a full rebuild on a 1959 Ford Popular and receiving several awards and publications, he is now working to rebuild from the ground up another 1950’s classic.
Since joining Jo Cowen architects Jake has mainly worked as part of the commercial team on multi-unit residential schemes, gaining experience and knowledge across all RIBA work stages in both the residential and commercial sectors. Jake enjoys solving the detailed elements of a scheme and has worked a lot with façade design across a number of projects and scales.
