Jorge Cortes Fibla
Jorge joined the practice as Senior Associate from Kohn Pedersen Fox, bringing broad delivery experience in both large scale mixed use schemes and residential development. His record in delivery of complex projects complements his strong architectural design skills, bringing sensible and articulated solutions to the projects he takes part in.
At Kohn Pedersen Fox, Jorge spent six years as Senior Designer, promoted to Associate for key projects in London such as One Nine Elms or 10 Bank Street in Canary Wharf. He also spent three years in the UAE as Design Manager on site for the Midfield Terminal in the Abu Dhabi Airport.
Before moving to London in 2013, he was a Director in an award-winning small practice in Spain for eight years, focusing on private residential works that were published in several magazines and were part of local exhibitions.
Jorge studied at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and following his M.Arch he commenced a PhD in pre-fabricated architecture. He has been a guest professor for several years in the Master’s Degree at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University, and has been invited to design sessions at the (UPV) at “Modular Architecture” Workshops.
Jorge is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, and a qualified Architect in Spain by the COACV since 2006.
