Laura is a strategic director at Jo Cowen Architects with a particular focus on complex, mixed use urban regeneration schemes. With a strong background in residential architecture which spans across the private, built-to-rent and affordable sectors, Laura is skilled in fusing strong architectural design with commercial viability to deliver projects that are as exciting as they are pragmatic. Laura has extensive experience in assembling diverse multi-disciplinary teams and inspires a collaborative working environment with her hands-on approach and enthusiasm.
With a passionate interest in community and place-making principles, Laura focuses on the social and cultural as well as the technical aspects of design, driving sustainable and socially and responsible principles as key pillars of our work.
Originally from Argentina, Laura initially studied architecture and urban studies at the University of Buenos Aires before completing her Masters in the conservation of heritage architecture in the Italian city of Florence.
